Roomful Express is a top 100 furniture retailer in the Pittsburgh area.
I designed and developed this entire site, including developing an extensive product catalog system that tied into their existing product management system. This saved countless hours of having to enter products into both an internal system and a web database. I also created a system for dynamically creating landing pages for each town and area in Pittsburgh - targeting keywords such as "Furniture in Butler, PA". This allowed us to rapidly target organic keywords with low competition.
I also developed a system for building targeted email lists from conversion forms, allowing us to create targeted email campaigns and reach out to potential customers during key points in the purchasing process.
SEO was handled by myself and Sterling Advertising.
Employer: Roomful Express Furniture
I created this site for Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist and Patriot-News garden writer George Weigel, who wanted his own site separate from the newspaper to display past writings, local gardening information and other resources helpful to central-Pennsylvania gardeners. He also wanted a web presence and e-commerce platform for his garden-design and consulting business "Garden House-Calls".
A custom WordPress theme and design were developed to suit George's needs. This project also included integration with MailChimp's email gathering form and basic Paypal Ecommerce integration.
We created this website with a focus on strong call-to-actions and organic search engine optimization. The site is built on a custom WordPress theme and incorporates a variety of plugins to help accomplish the goals of the site.

This is a simple WordPress site I put together to provide my family and friends with details about our wedding at Graceland. I sat down on a Sunday afternoon and cranked out this whole site - from blank Fireworks file to full, functioning WordPress theme in less than 5 hours. I used a variety of plugins for WordPress to quickly add functionality - including the NextGen Gallery plugin, Lightbox 2 and Classy wp_list_pages.
I am responsible for site design and custom WordPress theme coding.
This site was created with a custom WordPress theme that I developed and designed. The focus of this site is to allow the band to quickly get video, photos and show dates out to their fans and friends. The site is built in WordPress, so it allows the band to go in and edit all their information and add content without having to contact a web expert and pay for all their changes. It also includes an email list signup and options for purchasing their CD online.
This site was developed as a platform to provide information and tools to help potential account holders and mortgage applicants. I integrated an open-source mortgage calculator tool that helped provide mortgage applicants with current rates and financial information and a fraction of the cost of developing a custom solution.
This project was done as part of the Redfish Creative web development group.
Black and White is a research and reporting group that publishes interviews, essays, and reports. Focusing on universally relatable subjects, they utilize an inquisitive and in-depth approach centered on a reporter-producer mind set.
This site is powered by Wordpress. I am also responsible for site SEO and template coding.
